27 F. Work as 1st year associate in Big Law NYC. Base salary $215k, bonus is ~$10k (lowballing), student loans are $150k, total savings are about $100k. 0 family money and will likely be supporting parents long term. Any advice on how/when to start investing in real estate. Currently have all savings in market (with personal investing in index funds or 401K/RothIRA/mega back door).

I have no credit history and am just out of undergrad making ~$100k. Any chance of me being approved for Citi Double Cash or Chase Freedom Unlimited? Do I need to get a “starter” card to build some credit first?

Hi i lost majority of my money in the stock market. I married and promised my family that I will not make the mistake I made 7 years ago. Gambling. Is this an addiction I have. I keep selling stocks and taking loses buying other stock hoping it will recover but never did and sell again taking loses and buy again. It now sink in to me. What’s the salary wage for a consumer lending credit analyst/ underwriter in Southern California ?

I have ~4 years of experience as a commercial account manager working for a large bank in my home country before migrating to Canada. I am currently working as a credit analyst (commercial clients, upto $30mn in lending size) in a mid size Bank in Toronto.
I want to eventually work as a commercial/corporate account manager and hopefully grow in that role.

I’ve been told I have great customer service but my weakness is lending. recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
