This is a forum to discuss about Tech, not about current affairs.
Even then just to answer your question, India don't produce their own fuel, we have to import every drop that is needed. If the straight of hormuz is closed world's 20-30% of oil is disrupted increasing the crude oil prices in the international market. There is no other option than increasing the price.
If Government has to digest all the loses by giving subsidy or by lowering the tax is another discussion to make based on the current finances and what will be the potential deficit.
But considering current what is happening in world this price hike should have happened much earlier.
Your entire argument is basically:
“I don’t want to improve my skills, interviews are hard, switching jobs is hard, notice period is hard… therefore fuel economics is fake and people earning above 20 LPA are evil.”
That is not an economic argument. That’s frustration disguised as analysis.
You openly admitted skill growth and switching jobs are difficult, then immediately started blaming the government, rich people, petroleum employees, ministers, wars, and everyone else for your problems. At some point you have to stop treating personal career frustration as national economic expertise.
India imports most of its crude oil. When global supply risks increase, crude prices rise internationally. This is basic economics understood by every country on Earth — except apparently random “WhatsApp economists” in a tech forum.
And the funniest part is:
you say this is about poor and middle-class people, yet you’re sitting in a tech forum attacking people earning above 20 LPA instead of discussing technology. Sounds less like concern for the poor and more like jealousy toward people who worked harder, skilled up, cracked tough interviews, and improved their careers.
Also, “wars happened before so prices shouldn’t increase now” is probably the weakest argument here. Different wars affect supply chains differently. The Strait of Hormuz alone handles a massive share of global oil movement. But understanding geopolitics requires more effort than typing conspiracy theories.
You don’t need economics classes first.
You need basic logic first.

Ha ha ha.. People who post such nonsense should be taxed at 90% to penalize for wasting others time. Then same penalty money should be used as subsidy on fuel.
True that
