I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

I joined in Accenture as level 8. Prior to joining, I was apporached by a project, and they seemed to not convince with my lack of knowledge about the role hence they dropped me even after contacting couple of times. Now I have got call from another one and they also seem to be not fully sure because my last role was very different. My question is how difficult is it to get a project in Accenture? Will this interviews continue? Also, what are the chances of me getting a suitable role?

Maybe they’re collecting resumes/gearing up for the drops that will take place with RTO and when people quit from the rage and depression they feel at having the employee rights, perks, and any sense of empathy or humanity in the workplace, stripped away from them.

It’s at odds with what I’ve been seeing/hearing internally, which is that “all hiring needs global approval”, which signals to me that they are essentially hiring nobody unless deemed essential
That surprises me, and it seems unnecessary that we would receive correspondence confirming the need for global approval if it was always the case. Maybe I’m wrong

I’m interviewing. The original job was posted a year ago and they were only able to unfreeze and start hiring again now.
