I am seeking advise. I’ve applied for paralegal positions at the same law firm twice, the first time I was interviewed and it went extremely well, but they said they could not pay me what I make at my current job. The second time, I did not get an interview and when I contacted this employer they said they would hold onto my resume for future. Now there is a position open at their office again, pay is within my range. Should I apply for this third position & see if I get selected this time?

Sounds like they are breadcrumbing you along. I think it might be time to check elsewhere.

Good luck.

Absolutely! If you want it go for it. They get so many resumes I’m sure they aren’t excluding you they just might not remember you right off. Plus it shows tenacity and go-getter attitude. I’d hire someone who applied several times js

Thank you so much for the motivation and positivity 🙏😊 I applied for the position so please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me 🤞

If you are in NY yes.

I personally would not apply. I think they might be holding it against you since you declined the position due to the pay not bring enough. That is probably why they didn't call you a second time. I am not saying you absolutely shouldn't because applying is free and as my grandmother always said, "The worst they can do is say 'no'. They can't eat you and if they do, lay heavy on their stomach until they have to throw you up."

I’m so bad at writing the background/ facts section for briefs… it always gets heavily edited and no one is giving me constructive feedback other than “advocate more”. Any tips for getting better other than “advocating more”?
