It’s fine. Be glad people are making stuff and are getting attention that aren’t a massive holding company agency.
Very pedestrian work made for ad people, not consumers. The funniest thing is how hard Mischief is pushing that it’s “viral.” Their four social posts have less than 8k likes. No one is talking about it anywhere except in the LinkedIn creative circlejerk. They feel like the next GUT.
I only talked about it being made for ad people.
This conversation:
“They make stuff for ad people”
They were agency of the year at Effies
“Yes but this idea is made for ad people”
It’s not, look at this non-trade article.

It’s a teaser for the Super Bowl. What a bunch of asswipes they are for doing their jobs well. Jeez Louise.

It’s not great and I’ve moaned to my ad friends about it too. That said, Mischief is about as good a shop as the industry world has left… we’re a shell of what the industry once was.
The typo thing is definitely an overhyped mediocre idea. But it’s overhyped because Mischief earned all the hype. So, good for them, they are still the best agency in the US by miles.
They sure are.
Nothing beats the wrath of an anonymous Addy-winning senior creative from, let’s say, VML - making 0.7 campaigns a year for the social account of a toothbrush brand - lecturing Greg Hahn on what real advertising is.
They say creative is subjective. I myself have Mischief as my #1 place to work at, despite currently working at one of the most awarded shops out there and also not being a fan of SOME of their work. But that’s just me.
OP, if you’re over Mischief, what shops are you not over?

Not everything they make can be your favorite piece of work, but we definitely see all their work, which cannot be said of a few things I’ve worked on

I'm not sure they're too concerned what people on here think. I see a lot people praise that agency and a few haters. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone from there post here. could be wrong but just something that stuck me with all this chatter
