I suppose you could follow up at any time. If it's been two weeks, that should have been enough time for it to be considered. Definitely don't let it go too long, it'll look like you're not serious.
I think after two weeks you're more than within your rights to ask a follow-up question. They shouldn't keep you hanging too long with something like a raise. If they're not going to give it to you, they need to let you know so you can decide if you're going to start applying elsewhere

Give it about two more weeks. If you haven’t heard back, politely follow up and ask for an update. It shows you’re serious but still respectful of their process.

I'd follow up now, but I next time if they push you off ask when you should expect to follow up again.
