Hate people like her. If you have an issue with splitting the check, why not just say so instead of acting like you’re okay with it. Nobody has time to play these stupid fucking games
If a man asks me on a date, I honestly do expect him to pay because, well, HE asked ME out. If I ask a man out, I’d pay. So honestly I’m in agreement with her. I’d probably never go on another date with that guy again. Not because of the money, but because of the principle of it. Sort of the same vibe as if I asked my parents to grab lunch and then expected them to pay… it’s sort of rude. I personally feel (based on all my experience and what men have told me) when a man is truly interested he’s more than willing to pay, and then I’d pay for the next date. Anytime I really force splitting the check it’s because I know there was no connection and I won’t be seeing him again.
Have only once when it was someone I was really interested in, typically they ask me out though. To be fair, dating isn’t usually top of mind for me so I don’t go actively seeking it
Seems like gender equality extends to everything except men’s wallets

Agreed. And making the first move also.
