I can use personal card for travel and have both Amex platinum as well as CSR. Thinking about sticking with CSR for all travel and closing Amex platinum. Is this the right move to maximize points?

The 5x points on flights is super restrictive. Technically, it’s a better deal than the 4.5x from CSR (3x plus 1.5x multiplier if you redeem for travel), but it’s not worth the hassle. CSR all the way.

I would downgrade to the gold for points, much better earning on that card

That's a lot of money on credit card fees... Given that many of the most valuable perks are provided by both, make sure you are considering incremental value and not double counting

like

5x points on flights with the Amex platinum

I’d recommend keeping both, getting the 5x on airfare is clutch and Amex has some really good retention offers if you call them that basically make up the annual fee anyway. Add on centurion lounge access and other random Amex offers that pop up and the card pays for itself imo

How important is a yunojuno account to Freelance in London? The site won’t let me complete my registration because they essentially require you to sign on with an umbrella company. Can’t sign up with an umbrella company because they can’t seem to confirm my identity through my Visa and resident card. I hold a foreign passport.

Anyone have a ticket for Meduza at district this Saturday and not going anymore? It’s $57 now with fees and that’s too much. Might as well buy the VIP which is $80 w fees but that is probably a huge scam so guess I’m not going

Could anyone from Bain’s London office provide any insight into how much travel was typically involved (Pre-COVID)?
Also, how do you see the split of WFH/office/client site be going forward?
Thank you!

Transactional associate. Lateraled 6 months ago and one of the biggest pain points has been my new firm’s inclination to “hop on a call”, which of course requires every single stakeholder to join. The end result being every call has 25 people on it and nothing actually gets done because no one wants to ask a question that could come off as silly. It’s destroying my ability to get anything done during the day. It’s a complete performance and it drives me nuts.

I have been thinking a role in the industrial sector with a longer sales cycle may be a good fit, can travel up to 25%
