Distraction....Run your own race!
Definitely useful to know where the market is at with pay. Some firms will pay you under market if you let them. And some firms will do their own research to see where pay is at compared to the market. No reason you can't do the same.
Don't focus on it too much. Check it maybe once a year. And then I would only worry about differences in pay if they are statistically significantly.

You definitely aren’t alone. I often compare my salary to my friends’, but then I remember we’re in different industries. It’s a helpful reminder that everyone is running their own race.

What are you doing with the pressure you find? Are you going to pivot into a new career? How meaningful is this extra datapoint in what you will choose to do?
Why though? Do you value other people based on what they make? Is that how you value yourself? There are so many more important characteristics of people. You are on your own career path, not theirs.
