I could use some advice on asking for a raise. For background I started at my job 9 months ago. In September we re-orged. As part of that re-org, they let one of my teammates go, and put one of her reports under me and I acquired about 50% of her responsibilities with the idea that they would hire a counterpart for the other half. In that time we’ve instituted a hiring freeze “at least until 2h 2024”, but im guessing longer. So now I have both of her reports and am doing about 80% of her (cont.)

My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. CTR, contracts and department overhaul

our marketing dept is undergoing a complete overhaul. under old leadership, a $75k 12-mo contract was signed to a marketing group that handles our SEO, blog and everything Google Ads. All things I can and am in training to do. Current CTRs on G ads seem pitiful at no more than 0.75%. My meta ads coast around 4-6%. During this overhaul, would it be wise to not renew our contract, and negotiate for me to take over these roles and leverage a raise?
