I currently work in a warehouse picking and packing items to ship and I'm wondering how to describe this in a resume that makes it sound better than, "walks around a warehouse with a piece of paper, grabs the items on the paper, then puts them in a box."

I took this job after getting burned out work ops at a UPS hub, but now am trying to get back into something "better" and more professional.

I am never good at asking follow up questions during an interview. Actually this will be more like a discussion about a STEM opening in my district. Ideas on questions and maybe conversation starters? Thanks!

Had 4 rounds of great interviews for a internal HC consulting sr mgr role at tech Org. Final/5th round was a presentation and I felt it didn’t go well because I followed instructions and created a solid strategy that was based on evidence and best practices from what other orgs are doing - exactly what the case asked but based on their questions it seemed they wanted some high in the sky creative ideas. I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. Is this typical behaviour others have experienced when dealing with the big tech company recruiters? I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.

For anyone who has jumped to industry but in a different city, how did you go about the recruiting process? Was the process difficult? Did you have luck getting a relocation bonus/comp?

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.

How long does HCL take to release the offer?

I have taken the interview on 27th July 2022 and next day I got an update that I am selected and I will be connected by HR for further proceedings.

With all details I have shared, I have been told that the approvals are pending and the offer will get released soon.

Now, they have mentioned it will be released next week.

Just got a job offer but they are only giving me until Monday afternoon to decide. I'm currently in process at several other firms and the recruiter said they can't/won't give extensions.
