What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

It's probably a good idea to move on to the state job. You're being offered a opportunity to interview for a better job, which is no guarantee of anything. And seriously, if it took you giving notice to get them to offer even that, you should just move on. There's probably more opportunity ahead of you at the state level, which is something to consider.
I would look carefully and not just the salary difference but the benefit and raise differences. State and local raises can be very different so I would review the pay raise schedule over at least the last 5 years and see which one on average is higher. Also, insurance cost and retirement may be different. Sounds like it is between staying at current local department but promoted (not a sure thing) or state job. Good luck!
When offered more and better when the current job now they two years ago should have done but do it when finding out you are leaving, leave still or Hit them hard for all and. More if you stay
.
Benefits with the state are usually above average . The pay and the training with the state is usually better. The state would be the place to grow in your career.
