First off, there’s a CD position for Bright Cellars on LinkedIn lol. Hopefully you love Milwaukee more than gross wine.
Second, as a wine lover, I gave this a try. The labels are cool and the product packaging well designed. However, all the wines are private label so you have no idea where the grapes come from...they only tell you the region. It literally took me 2-3 emails to get them to tell me what I was actually drinking, meaning grape breakdowns by percentage, which is pretty standard with any other wine.
I don’t know what their long game is, and I don’t think they know either. Because once you start “caring” about wine, you’ll be ready to move on.
Somewhat related fun story! I interviewed for that role a few times. The second interview was cancelled with no communication from them indicating such. Eventually was told I was a final candidate, looked promising. Then they asked for spec work 😒 which I’d argue says your hiring process isn’t doing what it needs to do. Maybe my face said it all when the hiring manager told me that because I got a totally copy and paste “we’re moving in another direction” email with no feedback after like 6 hours of interviews.
I’ve heard terrible things about this company and I believe they’re true, now! And yeah, the wine ain’t great.
This ad has some opinions about that week-old Chardonnay on my countertop and I feel attacked
I’m enjoying imagining the brief.
Interesting. An app for people who have strong feelings about perceiving some wines as gross that tells them which to perceive as not gross. The app may not be the only one with artificial intelligence in this relationship.
All red wine tastes the same. Change my mind.
You haven’t drank enough wine then.
