This is so normal. In public you work closest with individuals that are a level above you, so they are the only ones you can compare yourself too. Which is not fair.
You got a return offer from those 2nd year seniors which means they saw potential in you. No one is expecting you to come in and immediately operate at their level.
Good luck!
You’ll be fine
Normal. I had a sr manager tell me during my internship that the people I work with (and clients) aren’t necessarily smarter than me, just more experienced. Thought it was good wisdom, once you get a few years under your belt you’ll be in a similar spot.
It depends on exactly what made you feel intimidated. If your simply impressed by their intelligence level, that's completely normal. Did they do anything in particular, however subtle it may have been, to "make sure" that let you know how smart they are?
You learn so much on the job in just one busy season. Don’t be discouraged, they were all in your shoes once.
I remember feeling this way for a long time. You’ll be fine!!
Totally normal. And I think you'll feel better with all the resources at BDO. I have to say theor training was top tier.
Even with 15 years of audit experience, most of it as a Senior, I had imposter syndrome when I changed employers and became a Manager.
It's perfectly normal. Just remember that you are learning and gaining experience every day. No one expects you to know everything when you start. Don't be afraid to ask questions because that's how you learn.
