I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

It will work right?
Its good salary, but are you sure you want to go ahead with Wipro. If you might not know, service based orgs are paying high salaries, which are directly billed on clients. Later on , in a scenario the project goes away and you don't find another client which would fit your tech and salary bracket(this is a hypothetical situation, just for safety reasons) . I fear there is a big bubble here , and I would suggest you to look for product firms who do pay in such structures , and you just have the hot skills to demand on this market. Hope I gave you my POV on this regard. Also congrats on this new offer .
I do agree with you, an organization never fires it's best employees, or even people with whom they can get the work done. Also I think this new correction is due to many startups with influx of money , trying to capture good talents out in the market. Now it has created a situation where we are benefiting with this competition. But how long will this last, are we agreeing that all service based organization are picking up great work( I may be wrong, and if I am let me know) , but according to my observation , product based firms outsource some work to service organization, now some projects may get very good work, but on average its usually general implementation of a design, wherein the architecture / framework / design tasks are handled by the product firm. So going by this when the startups stop hiring , and the requirements will be only on big product firms and big service firms , the competition to get a resource will decline ( not drastically, let's say the competition is more than 100% now, later it might come down to 60-70%) . Which is when I think the salary component in service firm will eventually decline. Again this is completely my research and observation, if there is other perspective, I would love to know.
