I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

It's always good to get interview experience, and why not find out more about what they have to offer? It can't hurt and you may be pleasantly surprised. Congrats on the opportunity.
I'm in a similar boat but I accepted the role - now I feel a bit stuck bc the title is great but the day-to-day is just...meh. I would go through with the interview for experience, but I would probs not take the role bc I don't think it's worth it in the end
Commenting to follow, I'm in the same boat. I have my second round interview tomorrow. The job title sounds really great, and like a step up, the job description sounds more similar to roles I told myself to never accept again. It is a significant pay increase for me, so I plan on accepting it if they give me an offer. But I wonder if I should.
