Hey Fishbowl community! I currently work as a Sales Support Specialist with 3 YOE working at a SaaS company. My dream career is to work at Microsoft or Google. Hi everyone!
I've been offered a job at Publicis Sapient as a front-end developer (React Js).
What kind of work culture, work load and tech stack exposure should I be expecting?
I'm having 1 year experience.
I've also got offers from IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, Amdocs, Verizon and Collegedunia.
All for the role of front-end web developer.
I'm very confused between all of them.

I totally get where you're coming from! It's like your body and mind are finally getting a break from the constant stress of accounting work. I've been there too, where the pressure to meet deadlines and manage clients' finances can be so so overwhelming.I'm sure body and mind are just enjoying the stilness. It doesn't necessarily mean you should leave the profession entirely, but maybe it's a sign to reassess what you want from your career. If you're considering a pivot, I'd suggest exploring roles that still utilize your financial skills but offer better work-life balance, like financial planning or consulting.
I would take it as a sign that you were overdue for a new position. If you want to pivot then that is great but I don’t necessarily think you have to.

May I ask if your old position was in public or private?
I made the decisions in February to leave financial services all together after a 7.5yr career. I'm now pursuing elementary school substitute teaching and I absolutely love it. The flexibility is amazing and most of the positions are part time so you can build a more balanced lifestyle. Now I'll admit, the pay is not great($15-$20)/hr but if you have a partner who can support the household financially, I would say take a leap of faith and pursue a new industry or even work part time!
Pivot to private! Amazing WLB, might take a pay cut but it’s a good time!
