I got let go from my position about 4 weeks ago and even though I'm devastated, somewhere in the back of it all, I find so much peace. Almost like this is exactly what i needed. I genuinely think it's the fact that I've had so much work to do that feeling my hormones take a back seat has been refreshing. Should I take this as a serious sign to leave this profession or am I making unnecessary conclusions? What would you pivot into?

I know I am being underpaid at $70k as a senior tax associate with 2-3 years of experience as I have talked with my local peers as well as local recruiters. Also, I know outside hires to my company get paid about $5-$10k higher than me, but they don’t get a raise the following year.
