I got laid off awhile ago and I just got offered a BA role in NYC (boutique firm) with 3 days a week in office for 6 months with an opportunity for full time / negotiations if things go well. The contract starts at $48/hr. I thought this was so low for a 4-5 year experience in Data Analytics with a Masters. Should I take it? I’m still talking to other firms but no offers yet. What is the NYC contract rate usually?

Hi, does anyone have any good resources for reviewing deal/fund documents for tax comments? I’m more junior and am often thrown documents to review with little guidance. Hi, I am bringing together a team through a reorg any suggestions on how to bring a new team together remotely?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

If you freelance at one spot for a while but switch to a new location for a higher rate even though the original wanted to extend you, is that considered burning a bridge? Or can you go back later?
