That’s such a common feeling early on. I tried both retail and inside sales before realizing I’m more of a relationship-builder, so B2B ended up being my lane. If you love fast-paced, face-to-face work, retail can be great; if you prefer more strategy and depth, B2B or inside sales often fits better. Sometimes you just have to test a few roles to see what's best for you.
Research as much about each as you can. I'm not in sales, so I can't offer much advice specific to that industry, but research + networking should help you figure out what you're best suited for. Also, remember that where you start your career doesn't have to be - and often isn't - where you'll finish it. Going into B2B right out of college doesn't lock you into it full time. If you decide it isn't for you, pivoting is always a possibility.
