I graduated with an MIS degree in 2021. It was tough finding a job so I took the first I could find. Now I’m in a job that doesn’t have a lot of growth. I’m managing projects and interacting with the client and dev teams. But I’m looking to switch to a different company. I don’t have any certifications. What certifications should I get? I don’t really know what to get into so any advice helps.

Expand on what you want to be doing. That will determine which certs will help you get there. Dedicate 1 hour a day to WIN (What I Need). This is focus time on your growth.

It was a tough market in 2021?

Not for entry level workers.

If you are managing projects, work toward getting a PMP.

MIS is a broad based degree. Narrow your focus on what you would like to do. Then use the S.M.A.R.T. goal model. For example, if you to do project management, you could obtain a Google Project Management Certification or a PMP but you should also take a Scrum Master course to understand Agile methodology.

Looking to get advice on two different job offers. I am only concerned about long term career prospects in choosing one or the other. Offer 1: warehouse manager for a beverage company. Offer 2: material distribution manager for an industrial equipment manufacturer. Again, only want input on future opportunities that each might provide. Thanks!

I just did my pre-licencing certification and passed my CA state exam for property and casualty. No I have no idea what to do or where to start my career as an insurance agent since I have no experience in the real world, just lots of knowledge. Please help!

Hi team, I have cleared 2 round of technical interviews at PPD, a part of TS. HR round is scheduled for Tuesday (09/20/2022)

My total experience is approx. 8 years.
My domain is ServiceNow development for which my relevant experience is 6.8 years.

Based on my experience, if some one can let me know:
1. Which designation should I be hired?
2. Annual package (excluding pf, gf, medical insurance, yearly bonus, etc)?
3. Usual shift time and working hours?
4. How many leaves they provide per year?

As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?

Hi Fishes!

I am currently working on SAP CPI,PIPO,CPI-DS (basically Integration as a whole) development (also attend Support issues regularly) with experience of around 1 year. My leads are quite happy with my works.

For career growth, what shall be my ideal path ahead?
1. Only concentrate on Integration
2. Continue Integration for some years, then switch to Functional modules (in this case, after how many years should I ideally switch)

And what shall be the ideal time to switch companies?

I am having skills of Analytics but not getting job I know Excel and other tools also Power Bi, Google sheets, Google Data Studio, Python, My Sql in learning.

Anyone know what kind of experience or certifications I should be aiming to get if I'm trying to break into a pentest role? I just graduated last year and have about a year of sysadmin experience and am trying to get into it asap. So, I'm already applying/job hunting and probably won't get much replies but. Should I be looking at more security analyst/admin roles first? Going for certs? Getting a masters? Wondering what I can do to improve my chances. TIA

I’m honestly tired of being at an agency and not feeling as fulfilled as I used with strategy as a career. Have anyone here make a career change? if so, what other jobs out there - outside of agencies and client side - can you apply what you know as a strategist? Curious if anyone has done it and has some advice.
