I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. I like to see what’s out there at all times. I’m at the stage in my career I don’t need to stay at one spot to gain experience. How long you been in your role? If you’re have thought about leaving it might be time.

I agree with staying aware of the market. I think looking does not mean leaving, it just helps me understand my value and options better.
How long have you been there? Under two years, you're a little premature. After that, it's a reasonable consideration.

I get that, but I think it depends. Sometimes the grass is greener, sometimes it is just different, so I try to look at it realistically rather than assume either way.
If you're asking yourself those questions, it's probably a good time to at least start looking around. That doesn't mean you have to take a job offer, but you might want to get some job applications out and see what might be available to you. It doesn't hurt to look around.

I think that is the best approach. I would explore without pressure, just to see what is out there before making any decisions.
