Okay so I’m a newly licensed attorney in a very conservative part of TX. I feel like I can’t redeem my career. I’ve been out of paying work since I graduated. My bar was delayed due to a medical problem and since then I’ve only been able to find volunteering. I’ve been working for free for 2 years now. My network is tapped, my mentors are confused why I can’t find anything, my law school’s career services actually gave up on me, I don’t have the money to move to a new place, I have no other support and I can’t even go back to retail because nobody’s hiring out here.

I am product designer with a fair amount of experience (6yrs).

Recently was interviewed for a Sr. role in Booking but unfortunately the team finds me better suited as a core individual contributor.

I am also in the advanced stages of some lead designer positions in other companies.

However I am really interested in joining the team at Booking, especially because of the design culture.

What should be my reasons to accept or not accept the offer from booking?

Changing addresses sucks, why doesn't the U.S. implement a personal "code" based address system?

Meaning if my address code is "A123" then all I need to provide to my bank/employer/friend is my code and if the bank/employer/friend mails something to "A123" it would always come to my most up to date mailing address even if I relocate.
