Should I stay at a company I know I like culture-wise when my manager said they will try to promote me, but with no guarantee. Or should I take a job offer I was given with a nice raise, but is in consulting at Slalom. I have not worked in consulting before. Too many cooks in the kitchen

I love my job in special education, the job may bring quite a bit of stress and exhaustion but nothing compares to the stress of the related service team. OT, PT, speech, BCBA, social worker, etc etc is really what’s killing me this year. It is 23 days into the school year and the team members all make different plans and as a result, nothing is being accomplished. And if paraprofessionals follow ie what OT says but not PT, it cause so much unnecessary conflict!

I had just 3 rounds completed and my last round was with all the team members. Can we expect more rounds moving forward? Or this was the final?

Been hearing from a lot of my seniors is that the working life in IT is only till 10-15 years...

And one of the reason they give is that after 10yoe, one is given a managerial role...and as a result he/she becomes redundant and following the pyramid structure they are laid off!

So is going for an MBA the only solution?
How one can extend his IT life given the fact there are EMIs that would continue till retirement?

Company is promising a good career progression after MBA.
