I have technical writing experience, but I don’t have experience with clinical studies or clinical trials. Does anyone have any advice on how I can gain more experience in this field? Would you rather try to get promoted/climb the career ladder or try and grow your side hustle into a larger enterprise while working your day job? I’m at a point where I’m very comfortable where I am and ready to move on to higher paying but more stressful roles. At the same time I’m also pursuing a side hustle that can be lucrative if done correctly but comes with more risks. Would you 1.) try and get promoted while pursuing a side hustle or 2.) stay in current role and focus on side hustle?

I want to do an MBA in the next 2 years. I’m currently up for Senior consultant promotion but I don’t think I can make good money in consulting till I become Partner. My boyfriend isn’t supportive of this decision. He believes it will alter our plans (marriage, children etc). I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead.
