How can I get passed cynicism?

Having struggled with visa for the past ~6 years, I have become extremely cynical. I don’t trust real friendships anymore because friends turned into competitors or got too burdened to maintain the friendships.
I feel somewhat disgusted when my coworkers or managers tried to “build rapport” with me.
I understand the value of doing so, but my repulsion inevitably showed through my apparent desire to end small talks as soon as possible.

Could anyone recommend a set of indices that are publicly available and is a good predictor for consumer spend in home renovations ?

Just joined industry. I love the company, so I'm thrilled to be here. ESPP was incredible at a company like Accenture, but with the stock price of my current company, I'm just wondering if I should take advantage. The dividend is nice. I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult.
