Thoughts on buying shares (via ESPP) of your company even though the stock has been declining?

Just joined industry. I love the company, so I'm thrilled to be here. ESPP was incredible at a company like Accenture, but with the stock price of my current company, I'm just wondering if I should take advantage. The dividend is nice. So if anything, I could treat is as income producing source, if not so much an investment that grows significantly.

Have you ever taken a job you know you will hate because you needed the money right away? I have a family to take care of. I don't want to be plowing through our savings for selfish reasons like my mindframe at work, but I don't want to make our lives worse by being miserable. It's a matter of really ruining some of our financial future if we don't get money soon.

Looking to buy in the DMV suburbs (northern VA). Is this the wrong time for such a move? Beyond down payment, got about 6mo emergency fund and must tap into it for moving&house expenses like furniture

I consolidated grad loans in ‘15, kept federal separate from private (w SoFi @6.75%). Can I refinance w SoFi or w Earnest? Should I combine the federal and lose the protections for better %?

$8k in debt (All credit card. No mortgage currently, but looking to buy. Car and student loans are paid off.)

I am selling into these pops on psth. 50/50 chance the target disappoints the stripe crew and it dips hard. I’ll be buying a bunch of that is the case. Beware- 2/9th warrants are still attached to these shares so there is some premium in the price

Any tips on negotiating rent increase? I got a 20% increase and it’s more than I am willing to pay. What are effective ways to negotiate?

Just bought a new primary residence that needs work. Current home has ~$100k equity after buying in 2019 with <$20k down (appreciated around 20% in the last 3 years, in a major metro area). Would you:

1) Lock in the appreciation & sell now. Use some for renovations/other investments.

2) Keep for another 2-3 years & rent out for a small cash flow (<100/month if self-managing), get a HELOC if needed. Note it would not pass my investment criteria if buying today.

3) other approach?

Thoughts on credit funds? Immediate start offer is tempting.

22 years old and currently focused on using my left over income to invest and pay off my debt. I am set to pay off my college loans by next year and, when I do, I want to look into investing into real estate. I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. I just got an offer for a senior software developer role at $150k starting. It is a small start up with 28 people in the team and AI driven. My recent salary was $118 so it is quite a jump for me and I really liked the VP I spoke to. Very somber and smart guy.
