I have a 5th round panel interview for an entry level non-attorney position in compliance. I am honestly unsure what to expect considering most of my law related interviews were 1/2 rounds max. My husband jokes and says they want to make sure I am normal. I am very nervous about this interview considering it is a fairly large company. I've exhausted most of my questions in the prior rounds and I am unsure what else they could ask. Anyone have a similar hiring experience?

Who does 5 rounds of interviews? That’s insane.

like

Yes very much insane. At this point I think you should definitely be interviewing them if yoy haven’t already because 5 rounds is crazy

like

No, but good luck!

Not for an entry level. That tells me that you're likely a front running but they have concerns if you are going to enjoy the role or will leave for an attorney position as soon as you can.

Make sure you're asking questions not just about the role but also the company. One of my favorite questions is when people last took a vacation. Also what the current pain points are

I don’t think even the CIA hiring process is this extensive lol.

like

I had 7 total interviews, which is typical for my company, and it was to make sure enough people on the team thought I’d be a good fit.

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.

What do you think of this approach? Would be curious to hear from both hiring manager perspectives and from candidate perspectives.

Final round! Panel interview w an assignment to present some ideas on how to increase customers for 1 of 5 key audience segments.
I’m most familiar with 1 as it’s the audience I work with at current job. Not enough info/experience with other 2 segments. Remaining segments I know enough but not as confidently.

Will it look like I took the easy way out if I chose my segment? They know it’s my current audience and has been for 8 yrs. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Do large law firms really recieve enough applications for a position that they cannot follow up when someone reaches out to check on thier application? I get that if you have to reach out, they probably weren't interested anyways, I'm just curious why there is a practice of just leaving applicants in the wind. And also, how does one go about finding out why they were rejected, if thier qualifications are "impressive"?
