I have a feeling I'm being scammed. After a long time of trying, I finally got an interview this Monday. It went really well, and I got to proceed into two more rounds, both of which were very quick, only separated by one day. I was a little unsure of how fast things were, but I thought the company was probably looking to hire ASAP. But this morning, I already got the offer letter and am being asked to pay upfront for a training course. I'm queasy, and don't know what to do. I need the job, but I don't need to lose money to a scam. What are your thoughts?

Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. Has anyone transitioned from Strategic Sales to Corporate Strategy? I love the strategic thinking and problem solving in sales and want to transfer those skills to a corporate role where I can have more influence on my company’s strategy and investments.

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap? I don’t have my side business listed on my resume because I don’t feel like I have enough positive “stats” to report yet given it’s new. Any advice or recommendations?
