Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

So you may get lowballed, not as a reflection on you, but just related to the job market we're slogging through.
Based on what they gave you, it sounds reasonable, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the budget for the role is on the lower end. My company posts ranges that are associated with pay band, not necessarily what’s been budgeted for the specific role.
My friend (used to be in recruiting) told me to respond to salary question like “the recruiter provided me with X-X and I’m currently interviewing for roles with the range of X-X”. Hoping then they would say their real budget
