Say “I’d like to walk you through my thought process, can you let me know if I’m approaching the problem the right way?”
Go through the parts of the query that are written. Then what you want the end result to look like (point A to point B). If you know what kind of transformation or calculation you need to do, great. But after that you can say you are having trouble with the exact syntax. Shows you’ve thought about it and know what the answer should look like even if you don’t have the exact answer

Have an experienced SQL coder feed you the answers.
This is sure to end well.
What’s the company? Might help answer based on culture (also I want to know who is gonna ask me to take a test if I put proficient in SQL on my resume lol).
SQL isn’t technical, it will be a basic requirement very soon. Just remember it was built for people who DON’T code and was meant to mimic basic language. SELECT thethingsiwant FROM wheretheyare. You’ll be fine.
