You’re going to really struggle with that in the
Midlands given you’re age and salary now. Defo wanna do London remote. You could look into contracting if that’s your thing?
So just on assumption that you’re 28 earning 120k + that’s very high for industry in the U.K.
e.g my friends dad was a senior director at Microsoft earning 80k basic (100% bonus - sales role). Generally there aren’t many large companies based in the midlands so your search will be limited to very few companies.
You could also look into private equity port cos - they’ll value the McKinsey experience and tend to pay more for the senior talent (head of transformation/strategy roles maybe?)

That's a tall order. Better to work for a London firm, but remotely.
Big 4 have fairly sizeable branches in the Midlands, as do some of the banks (HSBC, DB, Lloyds, Barclays)
