Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.
I’m new here. Can I please get some likes 😩

USA.jobs is where federal jobs are posted.
Which jobs are you looking for? I used to work in ECE. I find that corporate/government jobs that closely align with that and teaching are project or program management - skills are transferable.
For federal jobs, go to the main web site and start searching. You can find it at usajobs.gov. If you're looking for jobs in state or local government, follow a similar strategy, there may be a site to apply, or specific agencies may have a careers page on their site. Depending on what skills and education you have, and what you're looking for, there will likely be multiple jobs you're qualified for.
After working in goverment most of my career, I have learned that you basically have no shot at working in the Federal government unless you served in the military due to the veterans point allowance. The Feds are forced to hire inexperienced applicants over well-qualified applicants due to this preferential selection system. Many Federal jobs won't even let you apply unless you're ex-military or a current/former Federal employee. So, if you haven't served and want to work in government, look for state and local goverment jobs.
For federal, as stated already USAJobs.gov. For many state, county, or city government jobs, go to governmentjobs.com. Sometimes you’ll just need to go to the individual government website, for example, google “City of Austin” and look for their ”employment“ tab. Many of those will take you to the site I mentioned above though.
Hello, All federal vacancy announcements are posted on USAJOBS.gov. Here's a link to view all current openings available to the public: https://www.usajobs.gov/Search/Results?hp=public&p=1&k=.
I recommend saving this search to your USAJOBS account so you can receive email notifications about new opportunities. With nearly 7,000 listings, narrowing your search by location, career field, or other preferences will help you find positions that best match your interests. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to help!
If you have any kind of clearance, I highly suggest creating a profile on https://www.clearancejobs.com/. I have had a few different companies contact me via this website... and ensure you indicate that you are available to work or for hire.

with all positions.
govhrusa.com is a good resource also
Just curious given your user name, are you looking to do ECE for the government or just any type of work? I work for a small city as a commercial building plans examiner and municipalities are where it's at! Great pay, work/life balance, benefits, etc.
Vajobs.gov
You can work as a gov contractor in just about any industry the pay is good and you work with the govt etc. that is where I have been for a while now and I like it. Also there are certain parts of the gov like the ATF that use a govt contract to fill their positions. So the only way you can get hired in atf is if you work for a specific contractor
