First, congratulations!
No need to disclose. Anyway, you shouldn’t disclose until it’s obvious anyway, like month 4-5. ZS will be just fine. Make sure to take of yourself
Don't disclose
I have had more than 5 colleagues take off time (paid family/personal leave is 10 weeks) in the past year without a problem from anyone to my knowledge. I’ve also had colleagues have kids close together and take both leaves and ostensibly haven’t skipped a beat.
Depends who you work with but have only seen respect for prioritising yourself and family when needed
I wouldn’t disclose because it doesn’t matter for the interview. No one will feel slighted that you didn’t mention it.
HOWEVER, I would just confirm how long until their leave policy applies to hires. Some companies require 1 year before you get parental benefits
I am from ZS and doesn’t matter whether you disclose or not as you are joining our people centric organization and inform once you join so that the team can plan staffing accordingly. No worries at all as I had a new consultant who was in the same boat and she has been a rock star truly!
thank you so much!
Disclose or not disclose is your choice. ZS will do right by you. I had a team member join us in exact same position. She is one of the best to work with. Welcome to ZS and good luck here :)
Take it. Don’t have to tell them right now.
