I gave in my resignation with a 3-week notice period. Always got good feedback from my manager and we generally got along well.
Yesterday he made this comment in front of my team when he made the announcement. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out". In context we were discussing how to reassign my projects. He then laughed like it was a joke, and I didn't react.
Should I bring this up in a 1-1 meeting or let it go? Is this humour or plain sarcasm?

Shots fired

Joke - my Partner mentor would say that to me if I resigned and I would grab a strong drink with them after and laugh it off.

Let it go

It is common thing to say

I have used the joke “you are dead to me” so many times, someone made a meme about it at the firm.

But I am also known for maintaining long relationships with people who left the firm and helping them along the way...so people know it’s a joke

Now if you go to an arch rival, maybe you are dead to me ;)

Kevin O’Leary is that you?

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. Capital one giving $450 bonus if you move $50,000 into the account. Question: they said only new money qualifies. I had moved some money from cap one to chase on may 3. Can i just move that money back to capital one and get a bonus? Or would it count as “old money” and disqualify me from bonus since im just transferring the funds back to capital one from chase? How do they do determine this? Thank you!!

What is one of the most frustrating parts of being a scientist or researcher?

I'll tell you what it is: referencing!

You have to do so much of it, and it's so annoying. You have to cite your sources, but there are so many different formats for citations! And then sometimes you don't even know how to cite something, and how are you supposed to know that unless you ask someone who knows? And even then, they might not be sure whether it should be an in-text citation or a footnote…
