I have an owner who insists on feeding their cat a vegan diet, and I think I'd be more concerned if it was a dog, depending on size, but I have made recommendations otherwise. Would love a second opinion on how and when you should really push for them to include animal protein and any surefire health conditions you could bring up as potential threats.

That's not healthy for a cat. They can't digest plant material well, and they require essential nutrients that only meat can provide to them

like

To be honest if they let their cat wonder the neighborhood like most pet owners do then the cat is more than likely not a vegan. They go out and find mice and birds to eat

like

They don't go out - they are indoor 100% of the time!

What is her reasoning behind this?

like

She believes that it's healthier for the animal because *she* is also vegan.

like

If you feel like the at is losing weight too fast or malnourished I would speak up

like

Thanks, I would really hope that it wouldn't get to that point. Ideally, I hope to avoid this situation!

I have had several pet owners tell me that they want to switch their pets to a vegan diet and I honestly don't understand the thrill or reasoning behind it

like

I tell my patients the same thing. They have to understand that these animal come from wildlife that survived mainly on meat of other animals. That is how their bodies are made

With situations like this I will just talk to the owner of the possible effect of the diet to his or her pet's health which will eventually lead to serious health conditions of the cat. If the owner still insists, then I might refuse to render services the next time.

To me, the cat is the owner’s pet. It’s her responsibility to do what she feels is best. It’s our responsibility to share with empathy and evidence, anecdotes, our concern and document it.
A lot of what we do is partnering and hoping we see eye to eye and meet in the middle, by engaging, reflective listening, empathy, enlisting their input.

An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?
