You need to get a gun.
At this point, can you just cut and run? One month rent is not worth… your life
Make a police report and send the scenario to your apartment complex in email
That’s terrifying. I’m wondering what happened to escalate the situation to that point? Of course not an excuse I am just curious.
Regardless I would contact the police.
I’m sorry you’re going through this, please stay away from this person and request a meeting with the property manger. Surely with a report in hand, something should get done—hopefully. Sending positive vibes your way.
Absolutely agreed. Some people are just animals
I called the police and I am going to send my apartment the police report.
Do you think I can sue at this point

Sorry that you are going through this. Sounds like you are taking the right steps. I suggest you reach out to pro Bono counsel or local counsel. No of us would know. Additionally, this isn’t a legal advice thread, no offense :/
With this feeling, you should leave anyway asap. And worry about the logistics of how much you’re expected to pay after the fact! I know with DV cases a person is able to get out the lease. There may be something similar for your case depending on the stage.
Also, not trying to be a butthole… but if you make market, a month and a half of rent should barely dent your pockets for a situation like this. No one wants to waste money, but money should be the least of your concern right now.
