I have bachelors degree in molecular biology and I am pursuing master degree in management. I have been working in internal consulting in Siemens and now I got an opportunity to write my thesis in CTO of Roche. I will be way out of my current comfort zone but it might be good to be in pharma industry. On the other hand, Siemens also offered me writing my thesis there, probably in an easier topic with a 95% chance of getting hired afterwards with 70k salary. What would you go with? Thanks!

I’m not naive or fresh out of law school, but I’m at a point where I’m saying to myself “Why can’t I have it all?” I’ve been offered a job for more pay and less hours and I keep thinking to myself, what’s the catch? I know people will say no promotion potential or that’s not how it works…but what if it could? What if you make yourself valuable by still setting your boundaries? Why would we resent someone who has that opportunity?

How does WLB/hours change as you progress within McKinsey(BA->EM->AP)? In other words, do you work less hours at McKinsey when you become more senior?

Projects will be focused, long term comp is still great but obv much lower than MBB.

I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.)
