I think you need to take a deep breath. Be excited and be grateful that you have gotten an interview with Google. It means you are intelligent and have done great work so far. You need to simply express your enthusiasm and be aware that you ARE good at what you do and KNOW what you know. Good luck and keep me updated!
You miss all the shots you don’t take! Don’t let fear guide your decision making.
Hi, I worked with an anxiety coach this year and it really helped me. I can share her contact details with you. I think this will help you find grounding while interviewing.
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. I’d love to get help from her. Would you mind sharing the details through dm?
OP, the other side is also human. Don't overthink this. It is an interview like any other company. They want to see what you know, and if that aligns with what they're looking for. Google is intimidating because of our low acceptance rate, but if you have a call, it means the hiring manager liked what they saw on paper. They'll want to talk to you to ensure their interpretation is correct.
It is okay to have nerves, this proves you know what is at stake.
Treat this as a conversation you would have with a technical client. You answer what you know. For what you don't, ask intelligent questions to narrow down the scope, then park the question.
You got this!

Honestly unless the interviewer asks me to prepare something I dont prepare for interviews. The most I may do is look over the job description so I have questions lined up and glance at their website so I can say the cliche bs things that “attracted” me to the job posting. Good luck OP! Im sure youll crush it.
Don't count yourself out. Take a deep breath and be confident. You got the interview which means Google thinks you have potential to be in this role.
Something similar happened to me a couple month back, I thought it would be best to defer it for later. I emailed the recruiter and scheduler to move it 2 weeks later as I wasn’t feeling well. They were sympathetic and rescheduled the meeting. I took those 2 weeks to prep and the more I prepped, less worried I felt.
Please no dissing or deragatory comment. I am seriously upset about this situation. :(
How long ago did you know you were having this interview? If it was really short notice you should reschedule and try to take PTO around it. If you've known about the interview for a week or longer, still try to take PTO so at least you aren't thinking about work during it.
It's been weeks since this was arranged. I definitely feel paralyzed by it and don't think I can make it through the call tomorrow.
Concentrate meditating or take 5-http. There is a ton of demand for GCP people.
If this gig doesn't work there are other options. Someone approached me for a gig at SADA for $110-$120/hr W2.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try meditating. I'm not a technical person and TBH I want to avoid the consulting route. I feel pretty burnt from my last year's experience working at this firm.
No offense but are you capable of performing this job, minus the anxiety? I would drink some camomile tea and try some breathing exercises.
If this doesn't work, their are plenty of good companies out there besides Google.
The job is not very much different from what I've done in the past in industry and in my current role. But I agree -- Google interview does sound daunting. I have severe imposter syndrome issues and I'm sure I'm hurting myself with all these negative thinking. Thanks for your suggestions.
