If schedules were discussed and you set boundaries then NO they cannot just do whatever they want because they still have to respect your flexibility. And also never tell an employer anything about your personal life e.g kids or not because they don’t care honestly and when they know you don’t have kids it gives them leeway to THINK you have no life outside of the job.
They can do whatever they want, but you can decide you’re not willing to put up with it and leave. Good luck!
As a Manager, we can change your schedule at any time. If I change any of my employees schedule, I will communicate with them prior to making the changes. It’s very inconsiderate to adjust someone schedule with out including your employee in. You never know what another individual has going on in their personal life.
OP just because you don’t have any kids that doesn’t mean you don’t have a life. I would think there would be need to be a 30 day advance notice on them changing your hours because you have plans right?
Same thing meep happening to me. Our office is now open 7 days a week and they keep firing or people quit and guess who has to cover.. Im exhausted from it.
Gotta go in with a made up kid, apparently that's the only thing bosses understand smh
It would work except my mom also works for this company

Two ways. Tell them you need to take care of your mom/dad on certain days/hours. Or…
Tell them you have physical therapy for certain days/hours. On either scenario they cannot ask for proof because it’s against HIPAA regulations where no one can have access to anyone’s medical records.
They said above that their mom works for the company so that’s not an option.
It’s not against HIPAA to ask for proof. It would be against HIPAA for the drs office to provide it to the employer if they called the office directly.
What industry are you in?
When they changed my schedule this last time, it required us to hire another part time employee to cover the gaps that I was covering.
