Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

What are you doing to manage YOUR career? Good thing to remember…they’re running a business, you’re running your career. Don’t confuse that.
Now is a good time to get your resume updated, clean up your LinkedIn and maybe reach out to a good tech recruiter. You almost certainly will be happier, and probably making more money, with a new role and change of scenery. Stagnation can be very depressing. I just left a company after almost 10 years. I was miserable. I now feel refreshed and invigorated... and am making much more money.
Please take charge of your career. I'm sure you have developed strong transferable skills. Look for a new role or new company. Best of luck!
This happened to me for 8 years. After i transfered to a new group, the compensation has been increasing significantly. They give raises to KEEP people that they want. If they know you'll stay for free, they'll do just that. At this point, youve stayed too long. Loyalty doesnt go both ways.

If you have been in the same job for 10 years without any significant advancement, I would really be worried. Both because you are likely going to be on the list the next time there are layoffs AND because you won't have anything on your resume that is going to land you a new job.
You need to take that initiative. You need to "Lean in." Either start your own "side project" or join one and prove your worth.
This all depends on your financial situation, but if you can afford it, just pack it in and go find something else to do. A decade of spinning your wheels is enough. If you don't make a clean break, at least start putting out feelers and find out what else is available. Make this year the year you find a new job, and that may help you recover your health.
Just work on your career everyday when you're not working

THIS IS SO truthful Please take care of yourself
Been there myself. Was at the big fruit company for almost 15 years and was forced out. You have to move around and be challenged.
What are you expecting management to do after telling them that?
