I am reaching out to you all and am looking forward to break into Investment Banking from Consulting. Applied to Goldman Sachs via a referral but my resume is stuck after HireVue. Talked to the VO who referred me and he said Goldman doesn’t hire in Q4. If that’s true and still need to be in GS, can someone forward my resume directly to the team? Their career portal sucks. TIA Goldman Sachs PS: I promise a dinner in a dance place in NY after I get hired as a sign of my gratitude 🙈

No reviews = no structure for raises. You're going to have to advocate for yourself directly or accept that growth there is basically random. I'd start looking.
Just because there isn’t a formal review process doesn’t mean you still can’t get some feedback. Reach out and schedule a talk. Come with some topics and goals, and see what happens.

Communication is key here. Talk to your boss and find out what is needed for a pay raise or promotion. It’s ok to not have a formal process but like S1 said, you need to advocate for yourself more.

Definitely schedule a meeting every six months to one year to discuss a raise, promotion or whatever concerns you have. If they don’t have a system, create one for yourself. Advocate for yourself.

That’s tough—being in a role with no performance reviews leaves you in the dark on growth and raises. The best move is usually to start having proactive check-ins with your manager: ask for feedback, document wins, and make your goals clear. If that still goes nowhere, it might be time to look for a role with clearer growth opportunities.
