I have been on a job with 6 months probation and end of my probation period my manager sent a letter that I have not fully met the required criteria for the role and cited a reason and stating that they are extending my probation for another 3 months to assess further and also stated that they see potential in me and are confident that with their guidance I could achieve the expectation and meet their requirements to be a permanent employee of the company.

Does anyone ever feel morally or ethically conflicted working in this space? Serious question.

Do you all see a compelling future in your tax career? I’ll go first, I don’t see a compelling future working for a large PA firm in the long run because you have to work more as you move up. However, I do see a compelling future by using my knowledge and skills to open my own firm/business and work less hours as long as I make enough money which is $75k, or if I do work long hours, it’s because I want to.

Hello! This is a long story, so I’ll try to keep it brief. I work for a very small supplement company - it’s myself (marketing/acct mgmt) my coworker (sales), and the owner.
