Hi everyone! I am working with my HR to improve our maternity/paternity leave policy. Currently I only get 2 weeks fully paid and then an additional 8-12 weeks at 60% pay (short term disability). I need some examples of companies with less than 100 employees and what your maternity/paternity policy is. Please include company name! Thanks!!!

How do firms calculate how much parental leave to provide, either paid or unpaid. Or do they just pick a number, like “yeah they can get to know their kid in a few weeks and I couldn’t possibly have that attorney out for 12 weeks?” I’m at a small firm, no FMLA or state requirement. We get four weeks paid and four weeks unpaid. Would like to push for more but not sure how to argue costs side of it.

I have an interview coming up for a Case Manager position for the in-home care company. I would have 16 patients in my caseload 9 locally & 6 out of town. The company said the case managers are the backbone to their organization. Is the workload much greater than the in home nurse? The president of the company, the original owner, the financial money partner, the third party manager? I’m currently a customer success analyst and have about 4 years solid experience in customer success, making $63k in SoCal. Since I’ve been successful for a few years now here, would I ask for a recalibration on salary due to experience to make sure I’m up to par? When I look for industry averages online, it’s all over the place. I’m n some results that’s low, some mid, and some high.

How do you assess your client time as billable or non-billable? We are currently reviewing our time card process and want to better establish groundwork for differentiating between the two. Further to that, do you have your time members log their time and categorize it as Billable/Non-Billable upon submission? or does the Account Manager review submitted time cards and assign each based on the work being logged?
