Honestly a higher rating affects the bonus majorly minimum difference of 4-5%.. and only 1-2% is the difference in the hike.
Higher rating affects the hikes on fixed component. Confirmed with a director.
I was told similar, but I am not sure if rating will impact hike or not.

How would hikes and bonus look like?
We're in the same boat. They said since you're getting promoted the rating is 3. They also mentioned that hike is determined by promotion while Rating affects only bonus
