I am on notice period with Tata Consultancy with 2 months remaining with an offer in hand where the joining date is just after notice period ends. Now, I got early release from current company and thus, I saved 2 months. But I want to use these 2 months for travelling, upskilling and looking for better offers instead of contacting the new company for early joining. So, if I join the new company after 2 months will this be considered as a 'gap' in my profile in the future and will it be harmful?

Depends on many factors. Your use of the benefits (door dash for Reserve, Uber for Amex, etc.), your company’s travel policies, your expected travel, how much you fly Delta, etc. I think most people in here prefer the Reserve over the Platinum. But you have do to do the math for yourself.
Also worth noting that bailing on the reserve results in an immediate 33% devaluing of any points you have on the card, since they’re worth $0.015/point with a reserve and $0.01/point without.

If you aren’t flying delta or going to Amex lounges then I can’t see a reason to keep the Amex.
I have both as well and get positive value from both. I get more from the plat because we get a fee discount (CAP).
I use my CSR for offers, Lyft, other travel expenses, and ambiguous dining ( not sure if Amex Gold will cover)
