These days market is not good, dont resign without job in hand. I saw people coming out successfully from PIP and then in 2-3 years they became key person. So be positive, work hard and smart, keep learning and in parallel keep scanning for good new job as well
Correct
What is PIP ?
Performance improvement plan
Resign I went thorugh same kind of situation better start prepring for interviews
Job mil gaye hai toh kar do
Job nahi mila hai abhi tak
Don't know why ppl say join tcs, job security is there. Every company these days, who expels their employees is through PIP only.
PIP can be termed as "quiet firing". You don't know that you will be fired but eventually you will be. So, don't believe the company and don't put very hard work in meeting the targets of PIP. You have been identified and will be fired at the end of PIP.
Wrong!
Speak to your management. Set up meetings to discuss what you should do to make up for the poor ratings. Get proper understanding why this happened. Assure them you will give your best. Show results!!
Yes you should because if you clear your pip as well then also nothing happens. You'll become an unnecessary target. Or do one thing, clear this pip and move to another project for the time being if you want to stay.
Brother unnecessary target as in?
High time to move, don't expect wonders to happen, you rather use your skills elsewhere
Hope you will find a better job elsewhere. Stay strong bro/sis.
Thanks
Get another job and then resign. In this market and all the wars going around, no idea what can/will happen next
You should certainly resign but get the job first and do it as quickly as possible
Time-bound, efficient rule-book pip execution, should do the trick, if accompanied by say, a small cut/drop in salary, as seen on someone joining back, in a data/fin analysis/mining, software execution, large/complex fin/data project execution for overseas fin, media etc. clients, though admittedly, I haven't gone through one myself!
And may not work, again admittedly, in much less formally organised, much less process oriented companies/jobs, processes & projects, especially where complex, behavioural issues are involved & also required there because of the high end or senior nature of designation & work expected/involved, involving numerous stakeholders, internal & external, including non-formally reporting employees!
And, I would much appreciate inputs on this, from knowledgeable parties, especially in IT, say, where TAT is important, or bank performance guarantees, or what are those time-bound & performance benchmark bound deliverable contracts called, kind of jobs, IMHO?
Pip execution, which I learnt, is a performance improvement plan?
Wow. PIP at TCS. That’s new.
Does TCS have PIP?
Bro it happened only for me!
Do not resign. Use your pip to find another job.
Exactly!! like most people are saying, look for opportunities till your PIP tenure comes over, be open to work and never have this doubt that what will happen if someone gets to know about your job search; company has already made up its mind and probably looking for your replacement. It happened with me friend so I used to take interviews from company by blocking company’s meeting room only 🤣 trust me you’ll end up in a better position in next endeavour! All the best
As My Experience if anyone is in PIP... Just resign from company... If an employee is PIP it's Like Sending employee with given Timeline ...
I really appreciate the way people are helping me.
Update: I have talked to my current project manager and asked him to remove it.
It was not given by current project
Resign
Im in PIP right now. the tasks assigned are impossible to complete. what should i do?
