I have spent the last 8 months of this year trying to start my career in the insurance industry, Applying in multiple towns/cities in England that are local to me, (London/Brighton etc) and have networked with multiple professionals and received brilliant career advice as well as assistance from some. However I have still found myself without job.

I am posting here to see if any other professionals may be able to give me some feedback as to what I am doing wrong.

How do vesting schedules typically work for LLCs giving interest to an advisor?

Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises. We asked HR but they didn’t do anything about it. Is this normal? Is this legal? If not, what else can we do about it?

I have worked my way up in Insurance for 4 years but the 1st year being an intern/front desk/admin and was promoted twice and now an account associate helping my AMs/AEs manage our Producers' books of business. I was recently approached by a big brokerage for a Client Manager position. I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.

Just made a career pivot and accepted a job with Progressive in sales. I’ve heard more good things than bad about the company. I turned down Liberty and Allstate so I’m hoping I made the right choice. Curious if anyone works there can offer their opinion about what it’s like working for Progressive.

I currently only handle new business, which I love, but see that other companies like liberty make you handle new business and renewals. Any insight is appreciated.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

I’ve been working for a company for 25yrs, looking for advancement. I’m considered an SME, managing people, Vendors and working on large system conversions. Have provided long term goals.
