I interviewed for an L6 Sr program manager role and was offered an L5 program manager position at amazon. I have 5 YEO and a masters. I saw the L5 role only asks for 2 YEO. TC for the L5 is slightly more than I make now. Would accepting this be a good long term move? Would I be taking a step backwards?

What’s the hourly pay for others as a quality transaction specialist? I’m at $19.18 and feel it’s low for the inflation rate. HR and leadership refuse to give the salary range definitions and will say if I’m either in the low or median range of pay.

Anyone with psychologist partners or friends? Trying to help my wife figure out next steps in her career. Currently is a clinical psychologist seeing about 20 ppl/week for 120-130 dollars a person (she currently takes insurance). IMO this limits her overall earning potential. Trying to figure out if she could: drop insurance and charge more, scale out and build her own practice, and/or work more (could maybe see 26-28 ppl/week). I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). Trying to help my sister negotiate her comp, advice appreciated. Context: starting 9mo maternity leave. Got reached out by her bosses from 4y ago (very good experience both ways). Job is perfect match for her skillset. They asked for her expectations, she said 90. They told her range for the job was 90-110. Offer was made at 90 (50M valuation start up). Also got stock option (24k for 4y vesting, valuated at 50k today) Convinced her to negotiate for 110. Is that too late? What arguments to use?

Amazon recruiter reached out and wants to know my general compensation expectations before first interview. Very little info available on role but seeing $150k-$250k total compensation reported. Is this too wide of a range to give them?

How do people feel about their new compensation statements?

Interviewer asked what my current salary / bonus is and I told them.

I got the offer and it’s exactly the same base/bonus as my current role. (Though they’ll also give me so stock options in the private company).

Can you share what is reasonable % increase to get for salary / bonus when switching jobs? I know the team really likes me.
