You don't. They're not going to agree to it just because someone else is earning more than you did when you started. More importantly, after five years, there's zero chance what they'd offer (if they did, and they won't) to adjust would be more than you'd make by jobhopping. Brush off the resume and get to it.

You should approach it as a compensation clarification, not a comparison or complaint about the intern. Don’t mention the intern’s pay, but maybe say something like “I’d like to have a conversation about my current compensation and how it aligns with my role, responsibilities, and market benchmarks.” See if they will do an adjustment for you
I wouldn’t just argue that you should get paid more because of what they may. Instead, make a case that’s just about you and why you deserve a raise. That’ll be much easier to discuss and advocate for yourself and your work.
