Which LOB is good for JPMC Bangalore location ?
I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?

I’ve put myself up for L4 promo this cycle. Assuming I get it, what would be the best next steps to optimize for long-term growth/TC?
My understanding is that L5->L6 is extremely painful at Google. It may be easier to leave for a handful of years and gain managerial experience before returning.
L4->L5 is less challenging; however, I’m under the impression I can do this quicker at another company (if I leave after being freshly promo’d) AND get higher TC.

It depends entirely on the team. When I interviewed with Google I wasn’t in a location with an office. I basically said relocation was up for discussion (knowing I didn’t want to actually move). I got to the final stages of interviews and said moving isn’t in the cards for me and they made an exception. Now my team is scattered amongst various offices so it doesn’t even matter…some in NYC, some in MV, downtown SF, and LA.
When I interviewed I wasn’t in the location of an office and they got the exception prior to interviews. So anything is possible.

Anything is possible. I received an exception as well.
They’re being pretty strict these days..I would be upfront early because even internally they’re pushing folks to return immediately to their home office or face disciplinary action and are for the most part freezing anymore remote work requests. Just FYI. If you had to choose - I’d say hands down the NYC office has the best culture of the whole company!
No offense, but maybe you shouldn't get so excited yet. If you haven't even bothered to Google whether or not Google has remote jobs, what are the odds you actually get an offer and face a dilemma of moving or asking for a remote job?
Wow typical manager response lol Zero emotion, zero empathy, zero positivity.
